Technology is something that is still growing and changing daily. So it is no surprise, when new technology comes out that can greatly helps us achieve what we need or want to get, only faster and easier than you could before. Technology has had a big impact on the yearbook process! Efforts are underway to digitize yearbooks, making it easier to find old family and friends. This effort is called the eBlack Champaign-Urbana project. This project reaches out to Champaign and Urbana high school.

The eBlack Champaign-Urbana project focuses largely on the preservation of African-American history and culture dating to the 1950’s in the area and going until the 1980’s. This technology has the potential to spread like wildfire to other area’s who wish to also electronically document their schools history. The eBlack Champaign-Urbana project makes it possible to search for anyone to get pictures from the yearbooks they want, without having to cut from an existing yearbook. The spread of technology has again made our lives easier!
