How Does A Page Get Submitted To the Adviser (Admin) for Approval?

Once a page is finished, it should be submitted to the Admin for approval.  This may be done either in the Ladder or in Pages by clicking on the Pages flyout.

Begin by clicking on the page that you wish to send to the Admin.  Then click on the Ready for Approval button.

Note that once a page is submitted for approval, it will not be editable, even if the user would normally have permission to edit the page.  You will then see that the page status has changed to a green circle next to the page number at the top of the thumbnail image when viewing it in the Ladder or Pages flyout.  The only way a page can be edited after it has been submitted for approval to the Admin is if the Admin rejects the page, which allows users to regain design control of the page.

Please note that all pages must be moved to the final, approved status by the adviser before the book can be sent in for publishing. All final pages are indicated with a blue circle next to the page number at the top of the thumbnail image when viewing them in the Ladder or Pages flyout.
