Let Users Know Which Pages You Expect Them To Complete and When You Expect Them To Be Done

When you’re assembling your team, specifically ask each person how many pages he or she is able to commit doing. Or, if you’re assigning pages to users, make sure they have the time and dedication to complete them as you’ve planned. Too often, an adviser will assemble a team of people only to discover that they do not have the time they initially thought to dedicate to the project or it’s not clear who is expected to do what and when, leaving the adviser to play a larger role in creating the book than originally planned.

When you talk with your team about helping with the book, assign them specific pages and give them a deadline as to when you need their pages completed.  Then use the Dashboard to monitor the progress of each user before the deadline arrives so you can continually keep a pulse on progress and follow-up as necessary.
